What We Take On, and What We Do Not

Our criteria, stated plainly, including the situations where we decline.

Companies we can help

  • UK limited companies with commercial liabilities they cannot service from trading
  • Companies that have stopped trading but still have live creditors
  • Legacy and non-core companies a director wants off their hands
  • Companies under pressure from HMRC, a lender, a landlord or suppliers
  • Companies with judgments registered against them
  • Dormant companies with debts still attached, where a strike-off will not work

What we do not deal with

We work with company debt. We do not work with personal debt. The following are outside what we do, in every case:

  • Personal mortgages
  • Personal loans and overdrafts
  • Personal credit cards
  • Council tax
  • Personal tax unconnected with the company
  • Anything in an individual’s own name, including personal guarantees

If your problem is personal rather than corporate, we will tell you on the first call rather than take you through an assessment.

When we say no

We would rather publish this than have it come as a surprise.

  • A winding-up petition has been presented or advertised. Things move too fast at that stage for a sale. You need a licensed insolvency practitioner, today.
  • Assets have already been moved out of the company. That gets unpicked later and we will not transact around it.
  • The books cannot be produced. Records have to transfer complete at completion. If they do not exist, we cannot help.
  • The company is solvent and saleable. A normal sale process will get you more money. We will say so.
  • The numbers do not add up. Where what we are told and what the accounts show do not match, we stop there.

Why we publish this

Because a firm that will not say what it turns down is not telling you much about how it works. Being straight about the limits is the point.

Stay Ahead.
